Grandmaster Jafar Navaei was born in 1983 in Mazandaran Province, northern Iran.
He was introduced to this martial art at the age of 12 by his father, who was a long-time Hapkido master.
After about 2 decades of experience in the championship, management, and technical departments of Hapkido and other martial arts, he was finally invited to South Korea in 2015 by the Global Hapkido Association GHA, headed by Grandmaster Hee Kwan Lee and the Myongji University of Sports Sciences and Martial Arts. After completing professional courses from February to August 2015 at this university, he was appointed by the Global Hapkido Association as the representative of Hapkido GHA Iran.
After many years of international activity, including various international seminars and competitions, as well as sending the Iranian team to various world competitions, Jafar Navaei reached a new stage of technical and managerial growth and was recognized as one of the international Hapkido instructors. He has taught at international Hapkido and self-defense seminars in Germany, Nepal, India, Mexico, Azerbaijan, and Russia. In 2023, he was appointed as the Hapkido official in Central Asia by the GHA World Hapkido Organization and with the approval of the continental Hapkido officials. He established the Central Asian Hapkido Association for the first time.
